On June 23rd, Freightwaves Industry Weekly reported that due to the upcoming implementation of new import compliance regulations in the United States in July, the export volume of US goods in the first half of June increased by 26% month on month. A large number of cross-border sellers concentrated their shipments in advance to avoid the pressure brought by the increase in subsequent declaration and inspection costs. Among them, the proportion of FCL shipments from overseas warehouses has significantly increased by 22 percentage points, while the scale of direct mail parcels continues to shrink.

At the same time, major shipping companies have launched priority booking channels for bulk FCL customers and provided upgraded delay compensation guarantees for long-term agreement customers. The industry suggests that cross-border sellers seize the current shipping window period and prioritize adopting the full container warehousing mode to lock in cabin space and reduce logistics uncertainty risks during peak seasons.
